About

From City Streets to Crafting Masterpieces

Born and raised in the heart of New York City, I was a true city boy—never having seen a forge, let alone held a pair of tongs. It wasn't until I made my way to the Pacific Northwest that I truly discovered the joy of creating and working with my hands.

What began with modest Harbor Freight tools and repurposed leaf springs gradually evolved into the art of crafting Damascus steel, complete with hydraulic presses and the making of my own billets. And yes, there may have been a little inspiration from Forged in Fire along the way, along with plenty of burns and stitches!

Damascus Types

Every blade I make is a form of damascus; random pattern, san mai, go mai, raindrop, ladder, canister, etc. Damascus has always appealed to me with its patterns, flowing lines, and technical difficulty. Once I could reliably create damascus billets, I stopped working on monosteel blades and focused solely on improving on my ability to create pattern welded knives.
